Presenting at the Innovations in Participatory Democracy Conference

Earlier this month, we had the amazing opportunity to participate in the Innovations in Participatory Democracy Conference in Phoenix, Arizona (USA)! There, we connected with other people and organizations doing great work across the US and around the world, such as the convening of Citizens Juries and participatory budgeting initiatives.

One of our founders, Adam, also had the opportunity to present our work with student governments, as part of a panel called Reinventing Civics: Innovative approaches to student deliberation and civic education. Check out the video below which combines audio from his talk and relevant parts of the Q&A session with presentation slides and a few pictures from the session!

The panel, which was moderated by Edna Ishayik of Civic Nation, also included inspiring presentations from Nicole Zillmer of Arizona State University, Frank Pisi from the Sacramento County Office of Education, and Sean Anderson of Community|Learning|Design. Check out audio from the full session below!
